Never work with children…or Labradors

Meet Milo, the inspiration behind my Labrador enamel wall hangings and some of my jewellery.

Milo belongs to my brother and I always look after him when Conor and his family go away – the June Bank Holiday was no different (they were enjoying the culture of Berlin while I walked their dog in the lashing rain along the Dodder River). Of course Milo hurled himself in and then sloshed onto my couch when we got home.

He is a lovely creature – the happiest, most gormless animal on earth and perfect with kids.

He can’t get enough of being dived on top of and wrestled all over the place. And he has a habit of swiping wine glasses clean off the coffee table and into the air with his tail. And beating my dogs, Winnie and Toni,  across the face with it while they stand behind him, anchored to the spot, eyes squeezed shut, receiving blow after blow like true martyrs.

I decided that since he was coming into work with me and the girls everyday, he could earn is keep and I would take a few photos and do a little promotional video using him. This is how that video turned out. Not very professional, but at least its an accurate representation of the man behind the Labrador art.
